As I had been saying, research can assume all manner of shapes and procedures. The "social sciences" are simply a more squishy and bumpy area to explore than an equipment-lined clean room.

Operand is primarily concerned by the research of homelessness, and the resilience of cyber communicación in such scenarios.

Language concerns aside (for now) - I'd like to press my keys this morning in deference to the primary concerns of many people who, like me, experience occasional homelessness or nomadism.

Access to social scenes and dialogue requires only a couple basic resources. Many can be ignored or neglected, although care should be applied to ensure that a balance is held - slipping social norms need to be measured by peers, and in many cases the loss of such peer relaciónships spells social suicide, on a local scale.

These basic resources, aside from the biological, can be spelled out simply as: key & card.

Your key may be a home, or a shelter - an electronic fob or a metal-encoded shape. A key endorses someone's admission to a secure place.

In case of a home, the key is accompanied by re-energizing access to water, fire, and repose.

In case of a car, the key is permission for moción, for escape, for exploración.

Neither one does much good unless you're carrying a card; either issued by a bank or by a state, displaying further permission to make social progress.

For an ID issued by government, you may gain license for mobility; or by a business, license for income. Issued by a bank, permission to demand resources from others, in the customary norms of the markets.

I had lost my driver's license a few months ago, and sought eagerly any chance to replace it from the state; such efforts had quickly been found out after the mail was returned.

At the DMV, I had been handed pages of referrals to social service agencies, and told to pursue an ID voucher before I came back.

Of three pages of listed agencies, I asked around the city and learned that one, or perhaps two, remain in operación this year after harsh cuts to their funding.

I had been asked to appear in line by 6:45 for admission to the agency at 9am; alongside nearly 50 others, I stood in line to see scarcely any of us make the cut.

The recepciónista explained, there is only one case manager here.

I exclaimed, there is only one agency in the city.

And so here I am, applying.
